Mahogany Glow End Grain Cutting Board
This end grain cutting board is crafted from African Mahogany, Maple, and Black Walnut hardwoods. The African Mahogany in this end grain board was specially selected to create this center glow. The dark reddish-brown color typical of African Mahogany comes from the innermost portion of the tree known as "heartwood". The outermost portion of the tree, known as "sapwood", is a much lighter color. During the construction of this cutting board, sections of African Mahogany boards containing both heartwood and sapwood were carefully arranged to create this unique glowing-gradient center.
Centered hand holds are routed into the ends so the board can be lifted while either surface is upright. Optional rubber feet may be added in cart at no additional charge. If added, the feet will be mounted with stainless steel screws. If not added, the underside of the board may be used as a second cutting surface.
