This end grain cutting board is crafted from Ambrosia Maple, Limba, and Black Walnut hardwoods. Hand holds are routed into the ends and rubber feet are mounted with stainless steel screws. This board also features a juice groove routed around the top surface.

Ambrosia Maple is not a separate species of Maple, but rather a feature of the wood that has red or dark brown streaks resulting from the tree being home to the burrowing Ambrosia Beetle. Fungi that the beetle carries into the tree and cultivates into gardens for food causes the Ambrosia streaks in Maple that are a beautiful accent in woodworking items.

The Ambrosia Maple in this cutting board is crafted from one 4 foot long board, so the beginning to the end of the Ambrosia streak can be seen in cross-sections along the end grain of the board.
